Bars place each figure against the 23 whole-house units we track, from the lowest published value to the highest, with the median marked. A bar is drawn only where at least three units publish the figure. Green sits on the better side of the median, amber on the weaker side; amps and weight have no better side.
"Not yet verified" means the manufacturer has not published the figure or we could not confirm it. We never fill a gap with a guess and we do not invent measurements: every figure is the maker's own or a specialty dealer's, and the source is named.
The short version
What we like
- ✓750 air watts, 146 in water lift and 140.2 CFM, from OVO's spec sheet and product page
- ✓Hybrid: bagless or FD-22.5L bag; rated for 10 inlets and 10,000 sq ft
- ✓3 suction levels, filter and bag alerts, usage-hour tracking, Alexa and Google Assistant through the app
- ✓Can bypass the low-voltage inlet circuit, useful for retractable-hose systems and old inlets
- ✓Works as a normal unit from the inlets without the app; 10-year parts warranty
What we'd change
- ✕Smart electronic module is warranted for 1 year, not 10
- ✕68 dB rating, the highest of OVO's units we cover; amps and weight not published
- ✕Needs 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and a Nadair Smart account; running past 500 hours without service voids the warranty per the app manual
Who this unit is for
The OVO 750SM-35H is for a large home, 6,000 to 10,000 sq ft on up to 10 inlets, where someone also wants the vacuum on their phone. It is OVO’s 750ST-35H with a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth board added: same 750 air watt motor, same 35 L hybrid canister, plus 3 suction levels, alerts and app or voice control.
The feature that matters most in practice is the low-voltage bypass. If you have a retractable-hose system, older inlets or a hose with a flaky handle switch, the app can start the unit without the inlet circuit at all. If none of that applies and you will not open the app, buy the ST version and skip the 1-year module.
What the specs tell you
OVO’s spec sheet lists 750 air watts and 146 in maximum water lift from a 2-stage, 5.7 in thru-flow motor with soft start and stop; the product page adds 140.2 CFM and says the motor is made in the USA. Air watts predicts carpet cleaning at the tool, and 750 is tied for the top of OVO’s line and near the top of our records. Water lift is sealed suction for long runs and climbs; 146 in is the highest OVO figure we have and the reason it is rated for 10 inlets. 140.2 CFM is strong airflow. All three are in balance.
The unit has 3 speed levels with a 30-minute speed memory. Noise is 68 dB maximum; OVO publishes no figure for the lower speeds.
Collection is hybrid cyclonic: dump the 35 L bottom-load canister, or fit an FD-22.5L bag. The machine-washable FP-12 permanent filter is mandatory in both modes and must be replaced every 2 years to keep the warranty.
Not published: amps and weight. The product page says it runs on a standard 15 A, 110 to 120 V breaker that does not need to be dedicated. Dimensions are 12.91 in deep by 30.20 in high by 12.52 in wide.
Fit and compatibility
Standard 2-inch pipe. OVO lists low-voltage and direct-connect electric inlets. Plug-in 120V on an attached 72 in grounded cord; not hardwired. Exhaust outside is recommended, and two PIP-89-BK exhaust fittings are in the box.
The smart side has its own requirements: a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, a phone with Bluetooth for pairing through the unit’s reset button, and a Nadair Smart app account. Alexa and Google Assistant are linked from inside the app. The manual says the unit is FCC Part 15.
For an app-only install with no inlet wiring, OVO packs a 3-way Y fitting, an air release valve and a spigot coupling. The manual covers the setup; the valve is there so the unit is not started against a sealed pipe. OVO also recommends its flexible pipe kit for a smart install, sold separately.
What’s in the box, and what you still need
In the box: the power unit, wall bracket, one FD-22.5L bag, the FP-12 permanent filter, the attached 72 in grounded cord, an LV-SOCKET-V3 low-voltage wire socket, the 3-way Y fitting with air release valve and spigot coupling for app-only use, and two PIP-89-BK exhaust fittings.
Not included: hose and attachments (unless you buy a kit variant), PVC pipe, fittings and inlets, OVO’s flexible pipe kit and the optional HEPA exhaust filter. Bags come in 3-packs as FD-22.5L-3OVO.
Warranty and support
OVO: 10 years on parts for the motor, body and dust bin, 1 year labor, original owner, residential use only. The smart electronic module is warranted for 1 year, and OVO’s warranty page says that stays 1 year even under the optional paid 25-year extension. Proof of purchase and a qualified electrician’s installation invoice are mandatory. The FP-12 filter must be replaced every 2 years and bags changed at least twice a year.
The app manual adds a condition the ST units do not have: the unit logs usage hours, flags service at 450 h and overdue at 500 h, and running past 500 h without service voids the warranty. Keep the service record.
OVO’s documents do not mention marketplaces. OVO is made by Nadair of Laval, Quebec, which states no parts or repair service is available in Quebec after sale.
Living with it
Day to day it is the 750ST: empty the canister or change the bag, wash the FP-12, vent outside. The app adds filter-life and bag-change alerts, usage hours, unit state and a PCB reset. Speed memory holds your last level for 30 minutes, so a hard-floor pass at a lower level does not jump back to full power on the next inlet.
The board is the part that can date. If Nadair’s cloud service changes, the unit still runs from the inlets, which is the right design. If you wired it app-only with the bypass, you depend on that service to start it; run inlet wiring anyway if you can.
What we’d verify before buying
- Amps and weight: not published.
- Noise at the lower speed levels: OVO publishes 68 dB maximum only.
- Bracket code: MUSUP-V4 (sheet) versus MUSUP-V2 (parts list).
- That the listing is the 35 L model, not the 750SM-25H.
- Whether a marketplace purchase is covered; OVO does not say.
- What “service” at 450 h means in practice and who performs it.

Frequently asked questions
Does the OVO 750SM-35H work without the app?
Yes. Wired to low-voltage inlets it runs like any central vacuum. The app adds on/off from the phone, 3 speed levels, alerts and the ability to bypass the inlet circuit.
What Wi-Fi does it need?
2.4 GHz only. Pairing is over Bluetooth through the unit's reset button, then the Nadair Smart app (iOS and Android) connects it to your network. Alexa and Google Assistant are linked inside the app.
How is it different from the 750ST-35H?
Same body and motor. The SM adds a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth board, 3 speed levels with a 30-minute speed memory, app and voice control and the low-voltage bypass.
How loud is it?
68 dB maximum per OVO's spec sheet. At lower speed levels it should be quieter, but OVO publishes only the maximum.
Can it run bagless?
Yes. It is a hybrid: dump the 35 L bottom-load canister or fit an FD-22.5L bag. The machine-washable FP-12 permanent filter is required either way and must be replaced every 2 years.
What is the warranty?
10 years on parts for the motor, body and dust bin, 1 year labor, and 1 year on the smart electronic module, even under the paid 25-year extension. Proof of purchase and an electrician's installation invoice are mandatory.
What are the 450 and 500 hour figures?
The app counts usage hours and flags service required at 450 h and service overdue at 500 h. The app manual says running past 500 h without service voids the warranty.
