"Not yet verified" means the manufacturer has not published the figure or we could not confirm it. We never fill a gap with a guess; our own measurements are added once a unit has been tested hands-on.
The short version
What we like
- ✓Fully itemized: pipe, 3 inlets, tees, 16 elbows, couplings, wire and cement
- ✓Standard 2 in OD central vacuum PVC fits any low-voltage system, not just OVO
- ✓Round-door inlets with mounting brackets included
- ✓Low-voltage wiring is a careful DIYer's job
What we'd change
- ✕48 ft of pipe is enough for a compact layout only
- ✕Low-voltage inlets only; no direct-connect electric option
- ✕Warranty not published; specs from retail listings
- ✕No exhaust pipe, vent cap, muffler or utility valve
Who this kit is for
The OVO 3-inlet installation kit is for someone installing a small low-voltage central vacuum from scratch: a condo, a compact single-story home, a workshop or an addition. It bundles the pipe, fittings, inlets, wire and cement for a 3-inlet system in one box, and because the pipe and inlets are standard, it works with any brand of power unit on 2 in pipe, not only OVO’s.
It is not an electric-inlet kit, and 48 ft of pipe will not stretch to a two-story house.
What the specs tell you
Retail listings give 12 pipe sticks of 4 ft with straps (48 ft total), 3 round-door low-voltage inlets with mounting brackets, 2 sweep tees, 10 90-degree elbows, 6 45-degree elbows, 6 stop couplings, 50 ft of 24V low-voltage wire and PVC cement.
The way to read a kit like this is against your floor plan. Three inlets and two tees means a trunk line with two branches. Sixteen elbows is generous for three inlets, which is good, because each inlet typically needs an elbow or two behind the wall plus sweep elbows at direction changes. Forty-eight feet of pipe is the limiting item: once you add the drop to the power unit and the run between inlets, a modest house can use it all. Fifty feet of wire tracks the pipe and will run out about when the pipe does.
Round-door inlets are the common low-voltage style with a hinged cover and two contacts. The pipe is 2 in OD central vacuum PVC, which is thin-wall and not interchangeable with plumbing pipe.
Not stated: inlet color beyond white, pipe wall thickness, and warranty.
Fit and compatibility
The pipe fits any central vacuum power unit with a standard 2 in intake, which is every unit we cover. The inlets are low-voltage: two contacts that start the unit when a hose is plugged in, wired with the 24V wire back to the unit’s low-voltage terminals. There is no 120V in this kit, so it cannot provide direct-connect electric inlets for a flush-plug electric powerhead; a pigtail hose is how you run an electric head on these inlets.
The kit does not include the exhaust run, a vent cap, a muffler or a utility valve.
What’s in the box, and what you still need
In the box: 48 ft of pipe with straps, 3 inlets with brackets, 2 sweep tees, 10 90-degree elbows, 6 45-degree elbows, 6 couplings, 50 ft of wire and cement.
You still need a power unit, a hose and tool kit, exhaust pipe and a vent cap if venting outside, a muffler if you want one, and any extra pipe your layout demands. Low-voltage wire connectors at the unit may or may not be included; the record does not say.
Warranty and support
Not published. OVO’s general warranty terms are for the original owner with proof of purchase and do not mention marketplace purchases. OVO (Nadair, Laval, Quebec) offers phone and email support and notes that no parts or repair service is available in Quebec after sale. Fittings and pipe rarely fail; inlets occasionally do, and standard replacements are widely available.
Living with it
Use sweep (long-radius) turns where the kit provides them and keep the pipe run as straight as you can; every tight elbow is a place for a sock or toy to lodge. Cement every joint except the last one into each inlet, which many installers leave dry so the inlet can be serviced. Run the wire alongside the pipe and secure it with the straps. Test every inlet with the hose before you close the walls.
What we’d verify before buying
- Warranty: not published.
- Pipe wall thickness: not stated.
- Whether low-voltage connectors for the power unit end are included.
- Your total pipe length and elbow count against the 48 ft and 16 elbows supplied.
- That you want low-voltage inlets, not direct-connect electric.

Frequently asked questions
Will the OVO installation kit work with a non-OVO power unit?
Yes. The pipe is standard 2 in OD central vacuum PVC and the inlets are standard low-voltage, so it fits any 2 in low-voltage system.
What exactly is included?
12 pipe sticks of 4 ft with straps (48 ft), 3 round-door low-voltage inlets with brackets, 2 sweep tees, 10 90-degree elbows, 6 45-degree elbows, 6 stop couplings, 50 ft of 24V wire and PVC cement.
Is 48 ft enough pipe?
For a compact single-story layout with the power unit near the inlets, often yes. For a two-story home, usually not. Sketch the runs and add up the lengths before buying.
Can I use plumbing PVC instead?
No. Central vacuum pipe is thin-wall 2 in OD; plumbing schedule 40 has different dimensions and fittings do not interchange.
Do I need an electrician?
Not for this kit. The 24V inlet wiring is low-voltage and safe for a careful DIYer. Only direct-connect 120V inlets need an electrician, and this kit has none.
What is the warranty?
Not published in the record.
