Who this powerhead is for
The Cen-Tec CT25QD is for someone whose flush-plug electric powerhead has worn out and whose 120V electric hose is still good. Retailers position it as a replacement for the NuTone CT600 and say it works with Beam, Electrolux, Eureka, VacuMaid and NuTone flush-plug hoses. It comes with an integrated wand and weighs 7 lb, a little less than the CT20QD.
It is an electric head and needs 120V at the hose handle. Low-voltage and air-only systems should look at an air-driven turbine head.
What the specs tell you
Cen-Tec lists 4 height positions, a headlight, a Quiet Drive Poly-V belt offset for dual-side edge cleaning, a double swivel neck with quick wand release and a 7 lb weight. The offset belt is the distinctive feature: on most heads the belt sits at one end and the brush stops short of the housing on that side, so you can only edge-clean on one side. Offsetting it lets the brush reach both edges.
Four height positions cover bare floors through deep pile. A Poly-V belt is a flat, ribbed belt that runs quieter and usually outlasts a round rubber one. The double swivel neck means the head pivots on two axes, which makes steering around furniture legs easier than a single pivot.
Not published: nozzle width, which is the one number you most want for fitting under furniture; motor wattage; brush speed; noise; and warranty. The CT20QD’s 14 in width does not necessarily apply here, and at 7 lb against the CT20QD’s 8.18 lb this head is lighter, which could mean a narrower nozzle or lighter construction. Measure your tightest furniture gap and ask Cen-Tec for the width before you commit.
Fit and compatibility
The CT25QD uses a flush integrated electric wand. The 120V for the brush motor runs inside the wand and plugs flush into the hose handle. You need a 120V electric hose with the matching receptacle; the hose gets 120V from a direct-connect inlet or a pigtail cord. Retailers list flush-plug hose compatibility across Beam, Electrolux, Eureka, VacuMaid and NuTone; Cen-Tec’s own page does not make those claims, so confirm your handle’s pattern.
Not compatible with low-voltage hoses, air-only hoses or inlets without 120V.
What’s in the box, and what you still need
The record does not itemize contents. Cen-Tec describes the product as the powerhead with flush integrated wand, so expect both. You still need a 120V electric hose with a matching flush handle and a power unit. Cen-Tec does not publish a belt part number for this head in the record; ask for it.
Warranty and support
The warranty term is not published, and Cen-Tec has no support URL in the record. Cen-Tec’s stance on marketplace purchases is unknown. Get the warranty in writing from the seller and keep the receipt.
Living with it
Clear the brush roll of hair and thread regularly so the belt is not strained. Use the lowest height setting that lets the brush spin freely. The headlight shows debris on dark floors, and the double swivel neck lets the head lie flatter under furniture. Without a published belt or brush part number, identify them from the head when it arrives and order spares.
